I’ll be going to Cherating tomorrow with my wife and daughter.

No, it’s not a holiday but I have to accompany my wife for a conference or something. I don’t normally follow her during outstation but as the place is actually one that people go for their vacation, I guess I got to follow too.

On your left is what they show in the brochures but I’ve never been there and currently my expectation is quite high.

The problem is I’ll be left with my 5 year old daughter for 3 days. Hmm .. what should I bring to occupy her? Hopefully there are lots of things to do over there for a 5 year old ( those who have a kid that age will know that they get bored easily).

I’ll post some pics upon my return.

I can’t recall how I stumbled upon this site. But I must say I come back to this blog to read about the new things in the net.

I’m not the kind of guy who follow the “new things”. Myspace or Friendster make me confuse..

Thus, his blog help me to understand these new things. Among the post or page that I believe would also help you if you’re confused about technology or have been left behind by the new things, is his compilation of net reference.

I had finished my executable version of ebook and was using Robosoft to distribute it to various Shareware and Freeware directories.

Has it been a success? I do not think so.

After navigating a tricky and tedious menu in the software I managed to send my software, or so I think until I get a lot of errors. Apparently the software managed to send to 1 site out of several hundreds.

Here are the error I got for 99% of my submission:

Submitting to BetterWindowsSoftware…Failed
Script Failed. Something went wrong on this site. The error is logged.
RoboSoft team will check it out.

And that 1 site requires me to link back to it before it will put my software there. Hmm …

I will find another submission software to do the job. If that one failed, I will do it manually.

I am writing a guide on how to do a proper online research for those who are going to write an essay.

I will make it in two forms - an ebook and also a software; which I will then post to directories in order to get some link love. For the purpose, I’ll be using TexNotes to write and publish the guide in a software form. That way it won’t just be an ebook, but will also be a software, allowing me to publish it to software directories.

To send it, I’m thinking of using RoboSoft3 to submit the finished software to a few hundred sites.

The ebook on the other hand, will be in pdf form and I hope it’ll be picked up by schools. I heard that the search engines would also index and give some love to links from pdf or other indexable files. So this would be a test.

Development has been slow because I keep postponing this task for other things. I hope I’ll finish it within today or tomorrow.

I guess it’s about time for me to read those quotes on procrastinations ..

Apparently this site’s ranking has diminished considerably in Yahoo. In fact, I was surprised that this site isn’t in the Top 20 for the term “Inspirational Quotes“. It was no 5 when I switched from a static site to a Wordpress blog. An amazing jump from nowhere - just by switching to a blog.

However, after 2 redesigns, I lost that rank.

I guess it got to do with my site re-design. I had re-assigned many categories and changed their names and their folders and I believe there are too many 404 or page not found errors.

There’s simply too many pages that have been changed that making a permanent redirect seemed like impossible. What should I do?

Google seemed to stand firm with tis site’s ranking, leaving my site at around the 40th place for the term.

No love from MSN too it seemed.

Today, I went to clean my hamster’s cage.

The last time I cleaned it was 5 days ago and today it was full of mess. Apparently the pair managed to get rid of the bedding and stick it out to the bottom pan. Some of it has also been thrown away from the cage.

I asked my 5 year old daughter to keep them steady in a bucket while I clean the whole mess.

I must say it wasn’t something I enjoy. The cage is becoming smelly because apparently these hamsters (which I never named) hate those bedding. If only they use these beddings, the cage wouldn’t smell that bad.

Ah! Can’t be angry at them anyway. I won’t sleep on those wood shavings too ..
